  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 2 tsp loose black tea leaves (or 2 tea bags)
  • 2 tbsp sugar (or to taste)
  • ½ inch ginger (grated or crushed)
  • 2-3 green cardamom pods (lightly crushed)
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 black peppercorns (optional, for spice)
  • ½ tsp fennel seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the Spices: In a saucepan, add water, ginger, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, black peppercorns, and fennel seeds. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 2 minutes to release the flavors.
